Regional Plan Association

RPA is America’s most distinguished urban research and advocacy organization, working to improve the economic health, environmental resiliency, and quality of life of the New York metropolitan area. No stranger to ambitious plans, their vision for the new website involved combining 5 different sites and 100 years of research and reports. To bring the site to life I worked closely with the RPA communications team and Jenny Volvoski of ALSO for over 9 months. During the development phase longtime partner, Chris Malven, jumped in to help tag team the front-end buildout. The end result is a monster of a site that showcases the breadth and volume of important work RPA is doing in the tri-state region.
Role: Front-End Development, CMS Integration
Launch: rpa.org

“Working with Jenny and Brett was one of the best decisions I’ve made at RPA. Over our 10 month-long project, Brett quickly became a trusted partner and true extension of our internal team.

He expertly guided us through the process with patience, precision, and a smile on his face! I would (and already have) recommend Static Interactive for any project.”

Lauren Tsuboyama—Former VP of Communications

Responsive front-end development

One of the primary goals of the site was to make RPA’s content more readily available to a wider audience—from student researchers to congressional staffers. Careful consideration was given to the site’s content architecture and responsive layouts, ensuring that the site was easy to explore for all users and from any device.
